1843  Nancy M. Johnson receives a patent for the hand cranked ice cream freezer.

1890  Harland Sanders was born, Founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken fast food restaurant chain.

1899  Rights of Jell-O sold for $450 to Orator Frank Woodward.

2008  Thailand Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej forced out of office because he had been appearing on the TV cooking show Tasting, Ranting,  which is illegal because a government cannot have another job.
