1801  Gail Borden born, inventor of condensed milk.

1891  George A. Hormel opens his meat packing house in Austin, Minnesota.

1983  Alfred Heineken, president of Heinken beer kidnapped.  He is freed November 30 after a ransom of $20million was paid.  The kidnappers were later caught.
