Gluten Free Day

1921  French Chef Pierre Franey born. He became famous as the chef of ‘Le Pavillon’ restaurant in New York City from 1945 to 1960 and published cookbooks.

1949  Prince Edward Island in Canada banned the sale of margarine to protect its dairy industry.

1951  French Chef Bernard Loiseau was born. He committed suicide on February 24, 2003 supposedly because one of his restaurants might lose 1 of its 3 Michelin stars.

2002  US President George W. Bush faints after choking on a pretzel while watching a football game.
