French Gimlet

French Gimlet

Recently I’ve experienced so many great new gins from my friends at Flaviar.  It opens up a wide new array of cocktails and experimentation.  I am not much on trendy new liquors that are hefty in price and go out of style just as fast as they came in.  However, St. Germain Elderflower is delightful.  You don’t need a lot of it, and its not high in proof, so its perfect for mixing classic cocktails, like, the gimlet.  Fresh lime juice, gin and St. Germain make a really tasty cocktail which is not too sweet and not too strong.  Try it!

  • 1.5 ounces (45ml) Gin
  • .75 ounces (20ml) St. Germain
  • .5 ounce (15ml) Fresh Lime Juice
  • Shake hard with good, fresh, clean ice, pour into cocktail glass
