Food is a very important part of drinking. The same way you don’t go out for a drive with no gas in the car, you don’t go out drinking on an empty stomach.  Food slows the absorption of alcohol into your system. However, if your only goal is to get intoxicated quickly and pass out and/or get sick in less than an hour, by all means, drink up on an empty stomach.  Just be sure you are at home and a full bottle of water and bathroom are close enough to crawl to once you awake.

Anything that is not liquid counts as food, but even a hearty soup and crackers will work.  This is why we see starchy fatty foods at many places.  They are delicious, loaded with calories and carbs and work perfectly.

Here we will be focusing on some of the finer things you can be dining on when you are drinking to enhance the experience.
